From Poland to Uruguay, 2015

I had possibility to become jobshadower. It is opportunity for youth workers for improving own work, exchange good practices and sharing knowledge and experience among organizations and their representatives.  I spent in Uruguay 18 days and had possibility to discover local institutions, organizations, youth and local community initiatives implementing in Paysandú and Montevideo. My job shadowing was great personal and professional experience – I had possibility to discover Uruguay – its culture, people, ways of working from both sides. During job shadowing I realized in Uruguay there are many interesting solutions of working with youth which could be transferred and implemented in Poland. Those good practices are based on management the organization and program of youth start-ups and promoting the entrepreneurship among youngsters; variety of youth involvement into actions implementing in local community for common goodness and changing the quality of life; cooperation among local community representatives as well as government and local institutions and organizations; learning process of children and youth which focus on involvement them into social work; getting knowledge of cultural and social aspects of life and working with youth, children, local communities. I would like to recommend each of youth workers this mobility – it can be great boots of energy, new ideas and future cooperation.
