As a fashion designer and stylist it has always been a dream for me to work in Paris.
One day out of the blue I decided to look for a grant and phoned the GEB in Berlin.
A very nice lady called Inna, gave me all information I needed and guided me through all the process until I got my grant to go to Paris as a free mover for six months.
My internship started in November 2014 at CREADS Paris, an agency for design and communication. Here, I was responsible for the German market (Country Manager) at the beginning. Later I was also responsible for the US market, the CREADS Blog and the international Trainees.
This experience was and still is incredible, because I´m still living and working in Paris.
The best thing is that Paris is the capital of fashion and I feel in the right place here. Everything is so fashionable; the people are always sitting outside in cafes or going to exhibitions or concerts.
On the streets you can hear people talking in different languages, playing guitar or selling self made stuff….It is just beautiful and open-minded.
During the last months I´ve learned PR and Marketing skills, organizing meetings, to work with international people in different languages, to support and to guide projects for different markets, writing articles for the Blog, looking for new designers and clients…and the best thing is, I ´ve found really nice friends for life. Abroad friends become your second family and you support each other the best you can. Since day one I felt right and comfortable although the beginning was not easy to speak French, English and German mixed up.
In brief, this Leonardo da Vinci program changed my whole life. Now, I live in Paris and I´m the 
happiest girl in the world speaking fluent French with my Spanish, Russian and Japanese friends.
From the personal point of view, going abroad was the best thing to develop myself as a stylist, designer and human being because I learned a lot about myself.
From the professional point of view it was great to work with international people, to get to know different cultures and to develop my skills in PR and Marketing.
Funny thing is that when I talk about my internship and my life in Paris, I advise everyone to take a look at the GEB Berlin. Feels like I became a representative for the GEB who highly recommend to get in touch with them because it is going to be the best experience of your life…by the way it truly is 😉
I´m really grateful for this gorgeous experience in my life and once again I want to thank everyone who has participated and helped me to live my dream in France.
Als Modedesignerin war es schon immer mein Traum in Paris zu arbeiten.
Eines Tages entschloss ich mich bei der GEB in Berlin anzurufen und mich nach einem Stipendium zu erkundigen.
Eine sehr nette Frau namens Inna gab mir alle nötigen Informationen und begleitete mich fortan bis ich mein Stipendium ( als Freemover, sprich selbstorganisierender Teilnehmer ) für 6 Monate Paris erhielt.
Mein Praktikum fing im November 2014 in der Paris Design – und Kommunikationsagentur CREADS an. Zu Beginn war ich zuständig für den deutschen Markt ( Country Manager ) und später war ich ebenfalls verantwortlich für englisch Markt, den deutschen CREADS Blog und die internationalen Trainees.
Diese Erfahrung ist und bleibt unbeschreiblich, weil ich immer noch in Paris lebe und arbeite.
Das Beste an Paris ist, das e seine Modehauptstadt ist und ich mich hier am richtigen Platz fühle. Alles ist so fashionable, die Menschen halten sich hauptsächlich draussen auf, besuchen Ausstellungen und Konzerte.
In den Strassen sprechen die Menschen unterschiedliche Sprachen, spielen Gitarre oder verkaufen selbstgemachten Kleinigkeiten und Schmuckstücke…Es ist wunderschön und offen.
In den vergangenen Monaten habe ich viel im Bereich PR und Marketing gelernt, Meetingvorbereitung, Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Kunden und Kollegen, Betreuung und Begleitung von Projekten, Schreiben eines Blogs, Recherche nach neuen Designern …und das Beste ist, dass ich Freunde fürs Leben gefunden habe. Im Ausland werden deine Freunde zu deiner zweiten Familie und man unterstützt sich gegenseitig so gut man kann.Ich habe mich seit dem ersten Tag wohl gefühlt, obwohl es zu Beginn etwas anstrengend was in Französisch, Englisch und Deutsch zu jonglieren.
Kurz gesagt, das Leonardo da Vinci – Programm hat meine Leben verändert. Heute, lebe ich in Paris und bin das Glücklichste Mädchen der Welt, welches fliessend Französisch mit ihren spanischen, russischen und japanischen Freunden spricht.
Persönlich gesehen, war mein Auslandsaufenthalt grossartig, weil ich mich als Stylistin, Designerin und Mensch weiterentwickelt habe.
Beruflich gesehen, war der Auslandsaufenthaft perfekt, weil ich mit internationalen Menschen gearbeitet habe, neue Kulturen kennengelernt habe und meine Fähigketen im PR und Marketig erweitert habe.
Wenn mich jemand fragt, wie es in Paris ist, erzähle ich von der GEB und rate jeden Kontakt aufzunehmen. Manchmal fühle ich mich wie ein GEB Beauftragter, der jedem dazu rät sich zu informieren um die beste Erfahrung seines Lebens zu machen…die es wirklich ist 😉
Ich bin sehr dankbar für diese traumhafte Erfahrung in meinem Leben und bedanken mich nochmals bei allem die verantwortlich waren, das ins Ausland gehen konnte und meinen Traum lebe.
