Since I started University, I wanted to study abroad at least a few months, that´s why I applied for an Erasmus scholarship as soon as I could. I wanted to live a full experience and so I chose a country with a quite different culture than Spain.
I had already been in Prague during an Interrail and I felt in love of that beautiful city, so when I discovered that I could apply for an Erasmus there, I didn´t hesitate.
It was an awesome experience. The city is perfect to get lost and just walk downtown, full of marvellous corners and nice places to have a delicious pivo (beer). Is also the perfect destination for food lovers, you can go out for a dinner and spend very little money.Plus is a place fulled of Erasmus student from all over Europe, so you have the opportunity to meet a lot of new people, and very good new friends. Due to all these students, there is always something to do anytime.
As a personal experience, it was a real challenge to arrive to an unknown country totally alone, with zero knowledge of Czech (there are not many English speakers), but little by little, trying to learn a few useful Czech expressions, it was not as terrific as I thought.
About people, I was very lucky and found a lot of people always willing to help me. So I strongly recommend to visit Prague, and if you are thinking about studying abroad, it´s defiantly a great place to go. A real challenge that will change your life and help you develop as a person.

Desde que empecé la universidad siempre quise estudiar en el extranjero, al menos por unos cuantos meses, por eso solicité la beca erasmus en cuanto pude. Quería vivir una nueva experiencia, por eso elegí un país que tuviera una cultura algo diferente a la española.
Ya había estado previamente en Praga durante el Interrail y me enamoré de esa ciudad tan bella, así que cuando me enteré de que podría solicitar el erasmus allí, ni me lo pensé.
Fue una experiencia increíble. La ciudad es perfecta para recorrerla y perderse, repleta de esquinas maravillosas y lugares con encanto donde tomarse una deliciosa cerveza. También es el destino perfecto para los amantes de la gastronomía, pues siempre puedes cenar por muy bajo presupuesto. Además como está llena de estudiantes erasmus de toda Europa, se puede conocer a multitud de gente y hacer nuevas amistades. Debido a tanto movimiento estudiantil, siempre hay alguna actividad que hacer.
Como experiencia personal, fue un reto llegar totalmente sola a un país desconocido , con conocimiento nulo de la lengua checa ( a parte de que no hay muchos hablantes ingleses ), pero poco a poco, intentando aprender algunas de las frases checas más útiles,no fue tan terrible como pensé.
En cuanto a la gente, fui muy afortunada ya que siempre encontré gente que estaba dispuesta a ayudarme. Por eso recomiendo totalmente conocer Praga, y si estás pensando en estudiar fuera, es en definitiva el mejor sitio al que ir. Un gran reto que cambiará tu vida y te cambiará como persona.
