Let’s animate Europe was a follow up of a youth exchange managed in Romania in 2001. It took place  in Scarlino, in the South of Tuscany, in 2013. It was my second youth exchange, and the first one that we planned, wrote and managed in our local organisation. We involved some groups from Romania, Bosnia, Macedonia and Belgium. The topic of the exchange was animation, and we worked with some trainers in creating activities to be tested and implemented with children in the local area, creating a final event in the castle of the village.

The whole group was very involved in managing different kind of activities, coordinating the group, and the experience was really successful.

For me, it was my first experience as a group leader in my local organisation, managing anything I could (logistics, planning activities, management and financial issues), that convinced me to involve some young people from my local organisation in organising other activities, and to find out more about the EU programmes. I went on to take part in some other projects, until my Leonardo da Vinci experience and, after this; I began to work in some of these EU programmes (I’m currently working as a project manager).
