The Pro European Network is a non-governmental organization officially registered in 2007 in Bulgaria.

The Pro Euopean Network (PEN) works for strengthening democratic practices and effective fulfilment of human rights by promoting participatory approaches to development in Roma communities.

The objectives of the network are: 1) to increase leadership capacities among young Roma to take responsibility within their communities and to stimulate active citizenship; 2) to promote solidarity and partnership amongst Roma as well as with other ethnic and religion groups; 3) to stimulate and facilitate interaction and dialogue amongst various actors and different levels for more effective inclusion practices, etc.

Working with young people, both Roma and non-Roma on issues connected with human rights, mutual understanding, peace and inclusion has been a cross-cutting priority of the organization. PEN follows the principles of participation, empowerment and learning.

Working on its mission and objectives, the Pakiv European Network has regular activities which could be summarized as follows: organizing conferences on relevant issues, disseminating local experience on European level through website and publications, elaborating policy positions and recommendations. Working with young people, both Roma and non-Roma on issues connected to human rights, tolerance, mutual understanding, peace and inclusion has been a cross-cutting priority of the organization. PEN has already organized and partnered in a few international youth exchanges and trainings, involving Roma and non-Roma young people from Europe.
