Since I started studying at the University in Córdoba I knew I would make my best to participate in the Erasmus program, and the 4rd study year I had the chance to go to Paris for an academic year. My main motivations were to live alone, in a foreign country, and to learn French. I had never lived alone before; I was studying law in my hometown and I really wanted to live by my own, to fly far away.
I was so satisfied with this experience that I came back to Paris after I finished my university degree, and I stayed at the same University for three more years. Indeed, I had the chance to make a post-doc degree there and I started to work as a teacher assistant.
This mobility experience brought to my life a bunch of new abilities, rich experiences and huge opportunities, and both my CV and my personal background started to be fulfilled of rich contents and life experiences.
From a personal point of view, this mobility opportunity was for me a whole life experience. I made new and good friends, I impregnated of a new culture that still remains on me, I lived many multicultural situations, I acquired a very good level of French, I succeed to live alone, etc…
From a professional point of view, the mobility experience marked my professional path. Indeed, following what I studied there: History of European Law, I started being interested in everything related to Europe: politics, institutions, history, etc. Today I work as consultant on European programs and projects, and this is a direct consequence of that period.
Today I feel like a European citizen and I travel quite a lot, for personal and professional reasons. I have friends from all over Europe and I usually go to visit them: weddings, anniversaries, holidays, etc. This make me feel quite comfortable when I am abroad. For professional reasons, I’m having the chance to know better different administrative and political systems all over Europe. Indeed, I’ve worked with many European public administrations, universities, companies, etc. What I like the most is that, despite the fact that I am connected with Europe and with Europeans, I live at work at my home territory!! And here is where I want to live.
European mobility can bring to you so many opportunities that everyone should take the chance and do it!!

Desde que empecé a estudiar mi carrera en la Universidad de Córdoba sabía que haría todo posible para participar en el programa Erasmus, y en mi cuarto año de estudios me fue a París con una beca para todo el año académico. Mis principales motivaciones eran el poder vivir sola, pues estudiaba Derecho en mi ciudad natal donde vivía con mis padres; vivir en un país extranjero; y aprender francés. Tenía ganas de vivir por mi cuenta, y de volar lejos!
Estaba tan satisfecha con mi experiencia Erasmus, que volví a París después de terminar mi carrera, y pasé allí tres años más. Tuve la oportunidad de hacer un curso de posgrado y estuve trabajando como profesora asistente.
Esta experiencia de movilidad trajo a mi vida un montón de nuevas habilidades, interesantes experiencias y enormes oportunidades, y tanto mi CV como mi historia personal comenzaron a llenarse de experiencias de vida.
A nivel personal, esta oportunidad fue para mí una completa experiencia de vida. Hice nuevos y buenos amigos, me impregné de una nueva cultura que aún permanece en mí, viví ricas y variadas situaciones multiculturales, adquirí un muy buen nivel de francés, aprendí a vivir sola, etc …
También la experiencia de movilidad marcó mi trayectoria profesional. De hecho, a raíz de lo que estudié allí: Historia del Derecho Europeo, empecé a estar interesada en todo lo relacionado con Europa: la política, las instituciones, la historia, etc., y en la actualidad trabajo como consultora en programas y proyectos europeos.
Después de todo esto, hoy me siento una ciudadana europea y viajo mucho, por razones personales y profesionales. Tengo amigos en toda Europa y suelo ir a visitarlos: por bodas, cumpleaños, vacaciones, etc., y me siento muy a gusto cuando estoy en el extranjero. Por razones profesionales, he tenido la oportunidad de conocer de cerca las distintas administraciones de los países europeos. He trabajado, en el marco de los proyectos europeos, con administraciones públicas, universidades, empresas de toda Europa, etc. Lo que más me gusta es que, a pesar de que estoy conectada con Europa, vivo y trabajo en mi propio territorio !! Y es aquí donde quiero vivir.
La movilidad europea puede ofrecerte muchas oportunidades en la vida, así que habría que aprovechar cualquier oportunidad para apuntarse!!
