chiara vienaMy name is Chiara, I am 31 years old and I have been working for   more than 10 years in tourism field. One of the most important experience is without any doubt the one I spent in Ireland. In 2006, after a summer spent working in Greece as a tourist assistant, I decided to leave to Ireland to improve my English.
While I was looking for agencies that would provide accommodation, I came across one institution that has also changed, partly, my professional life.
The same agency that provided accommodation, language courses and many other services, was looking for a native Italian speaker with an intermediate english level for its offices in Cork.
So I decided to send the cv and… 10 days later I was in Cork
I started managing the customer service and, and by the time I was getting experience  and new knowledges, my responsibilities were increased . After a few months I became office manager and I was also responsible of  the training of the interns at  our office.
Due to personal reasons, after 2 1/2 years I came back to Italy and today, I opened the first Italian branch of the same irish agency
I’ve worked for some years ago!
This experience widened my professional horizons and gave me the chance to acquire a variety of skills, effective improvement of  English skills  and perhaps, a kind of capability to get used to pretty different climate conditions.
I recommend everyone this kind of experiene, at least once in life, to gain work experience abroad. You can only profit from that!

I think that the mobility experience has really mobilised me! Since I was really young I’ve always had a particular appeal regarding other countries and their culture; I’ve always appreciate living as a local and be fully into different customs and traditions. Living in Ireland wasn’t that easy at the very beginning because of their customs (they eat quite early for us, mediterranean!) and the rain.. By the end of my experience, I’ve started to walking under the rain and love that in summer time the sun is shining till late (when shining!) so that I could have more light during the day. Mobility helped me out in feeling as much as possible as a European Citizen. We all are European Citizen and I really hope one day will be easier feeling like Citizens of the World. It will make things smoother.

Cio´ renderebbe tutto piu´semplice.
