Taking part in an exchange program abroad it means to learn how to have new eyes, be keen observers, not taking anything for granted and assimilate every day something new. The impact with the new culture is immediate, every moment offers us something new to learn, we look how people live, how people queuing at the supermarket, how they sit on transportation and especially what they eat and what they drink. Vienna for me was a surprise, I wanted to go abroad but I didn’t choose this city from the beginning, It happened by chance or luck, for me it was a beautiful and essential experience, I did my intership in a kindergarten fot three months, I think that having the chance to get in a work environment abroad changes the perspective of where you are, It makes you become familiar and makes you feel part of a new world.
Getting in the game is the essence of this experience and despite some difficulties it is rewarded with many beautiful and important emotions.
When you are moving so many things can happen, to get to know new places and people means finding opportunities. To be aware of Europe it is a nice way to feel free.
Prendere parte a un progetto di scambio all’estero vuol dire imparare ad avere nuovi occhi, essere acuti osservatori, non dare nulla per scontato e assimilare ogni giorno qualcosa di nuovo. L’impatto con la nuova cultura è immediato, in qualsiasi momento della giornata acquisiamo nuove conoscenze e impariamo a vedere come vivono le persone, come fanno la coda al supermercato, come stanno seduti sui mezzi di trasporto e soprattutto come mangiano e cosa bevono!
Vienna per me è stata una destinazione casuale, un’esperienza bellissima ed essenziale, ho svolto il mio tirocinio di tre mesi in un asilo, avere la possibilità di entrare in un ambiente lavorativo all’estero cambia la prospettiva del posto in cui ti trovi, fa acquisire familiarità e ti fa sentire parte di un mondo nuovo.
Mettersi in gioco è l’essenza di questa esperienza e seppur con qualche difficoltà si viene ripagati con tante belle e importanti emozioni. Quando si è in movimento possono succedere davvero tante cose, conoscere nuovi luoghi e persone vuol dire trovare opportunità. Conoscere l’Europa è un bel modo per sentirsi liberi.
